CJD Parents: A reminder to parents/students to return your completed enrollment forms for this summer's U Hope Academy program by Tuesday, March 4th preferably sooner. They have received quite a few but still have room for more. The forms are being collected in the front office.
CJD Parents: Due to an uptick in student disciplinary offenses such as classroom disruptions, disrespect, defiance, horse playing, bullying, fighting, etc. students will receive higher level disciplinary interventions such as suspension, alternative placement, hearing referrals, mandatory conferences, parent shadowing, etc. Please talk frequently to your students about following the code of conduct and all school rules. Our goal is to significantly cut disciplinary infractions down and we need your help. Additionally, if students violate the cell phone policy it will not be returned early to parents or students so please ensure they turn it in during homeroom or leave them at home. This is in compliance with state device restriction regulations. Additional devices such as laptops, iPads, etc. are not allowed and will be confiscated and held. Lastly, hoodies, ski masks, and headphones worn on students will be confiscated and may not be returned until the end of the year. Thank you in advance for your support.

Friendly Reminder: CJD 8th grade girls will take their senior pictures on tomorrow, 2/25 during 1st and 2nd period. They should wear a black spaghetti tank top under their attire.
8th grade boys will take their senior pictures on Wednesday, 2/25 during 1st period. They should wear white button down shirts with black ties.
Students will be escorted across the street so please ensure they are on time.

CJD Parents: Friendly reminder that the office is closed at 2:45 pm daily due to preparation for after school dismissal and many students are in core classes at this time. Students can not be checked out after this time unless admin approved. Additionally, cell phones collected due to violation of the cell phone policy will not be returned after this time. The cell phone will be returned to the student according to the cell phone policy return date. If you lost your copy of the cell phone policy, you may stop by the main office to pick one up. Parents do not need to come unless requested by administrators. If there is a need for a parent meeting, call the office the next morning to schedule a conference unless it is an emergency. Thank you in you in advance for your cooperation.
CJD parents friendly reminder that tutoring is still occurring Tuesday through Thursday every week. Car Riders are picked up at 4:45 pm. Bus students are picked up at 5:00 pm. If your child is a walker please ensure they are attending tutoring instead of leaving after school. If you are unsure they are attending, you can contact the main office and we will send an email out to the tutoring teachers.
Lastly, it is not too late to sign them up if they never started. Click the link below to register them. If they will be a bus rider they can start the day after you register them. Car riders and walkers can start the same day.

CJD: There is an opportunity for our 8th Grade Students to attend a camp this summer at the 21st CCLC Explorers Camp at Auburn University.
Registration is now open for rising high school students to participate in the 21st CCLC Explorers Camp June 23 – 27, 2025 on Auburn University’s Campus. Students will explore college and career options while preparing to be mentors for our 21st CCLC programs. Camp is free, with the expectation that students will volunteer 40 hours at a 21st CCLC Program after the completion of camp. The deadline to submit an application and letter of recommendation is March 19, 2025.

CJD Parents: Tutoring and Better Basics has been cancelled for today, 1/22. Please pick up your child at 3:30 pm. If you need to communicate to your child about how they are getting home, please call the main office.
CJD Parents: Tomorrow is an E-Learning day. Work will be posted at the following places by 8:30 am tomorrow, 1/21: 6th and 7th grade students and parents should check Google Classroom, email, and Clever messages. 8th Grade students and parents check Google Classroom. They will post the staggered times teachers will be available if students need help.
CJD parents. Friendly reminder that there is no tutoring on Fridays and Mondays. Please make sure all students are aware of their mode of transportation on non tutoring days. If needed, call the main office to communicate to your child how they are going home if you think they may be unsure. All students should be off campus by 3:30 pm.

CJD Tutoring Update: Our tutoring time has been extended to help our CJD students starting TODAY. Car riders should be picked up at 4:45 pm Tuesday through Thursday only. Bus riders will be picked up at 5:00 pm. Car riders should park on the side next to the lunchroom so we don't block traffic. Parents may continue registering students for tutoring. All students including A Honor Roll will benefit. Thank you for helping us help our scholars!

Tutoring will start tomorrow and continue Tuesdays through Thursdays only weekly. Students will receive help in ELA, Math, and Homework Help. If you are interested, please complete this form (link below). IF YOU WANT YOUR CHILD TO RIDE THE BUS THIS FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT THE DAY BEFORE THEY START. Thus, if you want them to start tomorrow this form must be filled out on today. They can not ride the bus if you register them THE SAME DAY. They can ride the next day. If you register them by today they can ride the bus immediately.

CJD Parents: Report cards went out today, 1/13. Please ensure you ask your child for their report card. If they failed a course call the school to schedule a conference with the team.
