Monday kicks off Red Ribbon Week at CJD! The theme is "My Drug Free Life as a Movie." Monday, 10/20 we are "Turning RED" for Red Ribbon Week. Wear Red to Celebrate Being Drug Free.

Good afternoon. Wednesday, 10/16 is Unity Day. We are building commUNITY at CJD!! Wear orange to show your support on this Wednesday. Secondly, report cards went out today, Monday, 10/14. Please ask your child for their report card. Their PowerSchool login should be on their report card so you can check their grades online often to ensure they are in good standing.

Good afternoon CJD parents. Cell phone Restriction Parent Notification letters were sent home last week for 6th through 7th grade and will go home today for 8th. A copy is also on our website. Please read the letter in detail and return the letter back signed. Failure to sign does not change the policy or the enforcement of it. However, your child will receive a Tiger Buck for returning it back to their teacher. The letter references the cell phone policy that was given out at the beginning of the year. However, if you need another copy ask your child to get one from their homeroom teacher or the main office. Thank you for your support with keeping our school safe and in compliance with local and state policies.

Cell Phone Parent Notification Letters were sent home with students . Parents please sign and return the bottom portion of the letter to acknowledge your understanding of the cell phone policy. We appreciate your support in reinforcing these guidelines with your child.

"They Not Like Us" CJD spirit shirts are Back by Population Demand! Shirts went back on sale Tuesday, 10/8 and have been extended to next Tuesday, 10/15. These shirts are for students, family, friends, and the community. We will wear them through the year at various events!! Order forms were distributed again today.

Friendly reminder that today concludes our homecoming at CJD thus students should wear their homecoming shirts or purple and gold for our "Sports Center Theme." Tonight our CJD football team plays at FHPS at 6:00 pm. and our homecoming court will be presented at halftime. We look forward to seeing you all as we support our CJD Tigers!

CJD parents and students friendly reminder that tomorrow is an early dismissal day. All students should be picked up at 12:00 pm and off campus by 12:15 pm. There is no Better Basics on tomorrow, Friday, 10/4; make alternative arrangements. Homecoming shirts were given out today. If your child did not pick it up they may pick it up tomorrow or the parent can pick it up.

Teacher/Student Swap Day is tomorrow Thursday, 10/3 at CJD! Who will represent the other best? Additionally, t-shirts purchased will be given out Thursday or Friday of this week. Students and staff should wear them on Monday, 10/7.

Tomorrow's Dress Out theme at CJD is inspired by the song "Million Dollar Baby". Students and staff will come dressed as a "flashy" toddler or "Boss Baby." Be creative with your interpretation. The top five will win a five dollar Tiger Buck. We also announced the winners of the homecoming court today at school. There will be a meeting with the homecoming court on this Thursday in preparation for Monday's game presentation.

Reminder to wear pink because today is a PINK OUT at CJD in honor of breast cancer awareness month. All students running for CJD's Homecoming Court must submit the donations and calendar receipt tomorrow, Tuesday, 10/1 to the main office. The winners will be announced tomorrow. The winners will be presented on 10/7 at the game. The top seller will also represent the school as an ambassador throughout the year at various events.
