CJD parents and students friendly reminder that tomorrow is an early dismissal day. All students should be picked up at 12:00 pm and off campus by 12:15 pm. There is no Better Basics on tomorrow, Friday, 10/4; make alternative arrangements.
Homecoming shirts were given out today. If your child did not pick it up they may pick it up tomorrow or the parent can pick it up.
Teacher/Student Swap Day is tomorrow Thursday, 10/3 at CJD! Who will represent the other best?
Additionally, t-shirts purchased will be given out Thursday or Friday of this week. Students and staff should wear them on Monday, 10/7.
Tomorrow's Dress Out theme at CJD is inspired by the song "Million Dollar Baby". Students and staff will come dressed as a "flashy" toddler or "Boss Baby." Be creative with your interpretation. The top five will win a five dollar Tiger Buck.
We also announced the winners of the homecoming court today at school. There will be a meeting with the homecoming court on this Thursday in preparation for Monday's game presentation.

Friendly reminder to send your child's tshirt order form with payment today no later than Monday.
Good afternoon. Next week is CJD's homecoming's week! Our theme is "They Not Like Us." A t-shirt order form went home today. Students, parents, family, and friends may purchase a shirt. The color choices are white, gold, and purple. Please indicate on your order form which color and quantity of sizes you want. Students will submit their order form with payment tomorrow, Friday, 9/27 through Monday, 9/30. Orders and payment will not be taken after Monday. Our shirts will be worn throughout the year at various events and activities.
We will post a flyer of homecoming activities before Monday on our CJ Donald Facebook page and throughout the school.

Top of the Week CJD Reminders: 1. CJD's Title 1 Meeting followed by Open house is this Thursday, 9/19. Begin arriving at 5:15 pm through the lunchroom doors. We will start at 5:30 pm sharp. Be sure to sign the sign-in sheets and scan the QR codes so your child will receive their incentive(s). 2. Boy's basketball tryouts are tomorrow, Tuesday, 9/17 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm. 3. Our CJD football team plays Rutledge Middle School at Midfield at 6:00 pm on 9/18. 4. Our CJD volleyball team plays today and Wednesday at FHPS at 5:15 in the main gym.
In honor of National Suicide Prevention week CJD students and staff are asked to wear purple and/or teal this Friday, 9/13.
CJD parents, progress reports went home today. Grades are also viewable on PowerSchool. If your child is failing, contact their teacher (s).
CJD staff and students wear college shirts tomorrow, August 14th for our "Where are you going Wednesday!" We are focusing on the future at CJD!
Attention all 7th and 8th grade girls interested in trying out for volleyball: Tryouts will continue on today, Tuesday, August 13th, through Wednesday, August 14th at CJ Donald Middle School in the gym from 3:50 PM to 5:15 PM. Please wear black bottoms, white shirts, dark-colored shoes, and knee pads if you have them. Parents, please ensure you are there to pick up your athletes by 5:00 PM, as it is essential that we clear the campus by 5:15 PM.
If you have not registered your child at CJD please come to the school this week between 9:00 am and 12:00 pm. Returning students register online and need a snap code that you can receive from the main office. New students must register in person.
