Dear Fairfield City Schools Family, Due to the threat of winter weather, the Fairfield City School District will be CLOSED Tuesday, January 16th. All campuses and buildings will be closed. Employees will not report to work. Students will not report to school. There will also be no athletic or extra-curricular activities. Please, be advised that Governor Kay Ivey has issued a state of emergency due to the forecasted winter weather. Fairfield City School District will continue to monitor the weather advisories. At this time, no decision has been made regarding a Wednesday closure or delay. We will inform you when that happens. Our top priority is the safety and well-being of our students and employees. We strongly encourage everyone to stay informed through reputable weather authorities. Once again, Fairfield City School District will be closed Tuesday. Please, be safe and weather-aware.
