**Important Notice: New Alabama Law; FOCUS Act**
             No Cell Phones/ devices in Schools

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Students,

Effective immediately, a new Alabama state law prohibits the use of cell phones and other personal electronic devices by students during the school day on all State School Campuses including Fairfield City School's Campuses.

*What this means:
During this upcoming school year students may not use phones during instructional time, in hallways, restrooms, or during lunch periods.
*Devices must be turned off/ or on airplane mode and stored in backpacks, lockers, or designated areas  inside the district provided YONDR device pouches while on campus.
*Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action as outlined by school guidelines.
* Purpose of the Law:
This law was enacted to improve student focus, reduce distractions, and create a better learning environment for all.

We appreciate your support in helping us follow this state law requirement. Please talk with your student about the importance of complying with this new law.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact your student's school office.
